The Property Development Consultant was set up by Chris Gwilliam after he realised that there are very few companies providing simple, easy to digest advice to first time and smaller developers and self-builder. The vast majority of consultancy firms offer similar services are aimed at established professional developers who have the funds to budget large amounts of money on multi-disciplinary teams to assist with their developments. the reality is that with a large consultancy company you will generally be dealing with junior members of staff that have their work reviewed at a high level by senior consultants. Our company is very different. We provide one on one advice directly with Chris Gwilliam which enables clients to have access to a huge amount of experience across many sectors of the development industry without having to use multiple consultants.

Chris Gwilliam graduated from Bath University with a degree in architecture in 2001. He went on to work as an architectural designer for several large firms of architects before taking a job as a land buyer and project manager for a London based property development firm. After being made redundant in the financial crash of 2008, he set up his own successful architecture and planning consultancy firm working for developers and private self builder clients. After building the company up to employ 15 staff and completed some large projects, he sold the business in 2019 to another firm of architects. He used the funds from the company sale to set up as a property developer in his own right and has since sourced and acquired land, obtained planning permission, built out and sold many residential development projects around South East England.
